The Eel Tail is a Pre-Hardmode magic weapon dropped by Electric Eels. Upon use, it will fire two bolts of electric energy that pierce one enemy and rarely inflict the Electrified debuff. Electric energy bolts will occasionally explode, then fire off a new electric energy bolt multiple times before dissipating in one final explosion.

Its best Modifier is Mythical.
